Date: 29th November 2010 - Appointment of Mondial Assistance for Roadside Assistance and Changes to Road Warrior and Enhanced Road Warrior

Allianz is pleased to announce our partnership with Mondial Assistance for the provision of roadside assistance to ‘AAA’, Road Warrior (RW) and Enhanced Road Warrior (ERW) members effective for Cover Notes issued from 1 January 2011 onwards. Mondial is one of the largest assistance providers in Europe.

 

Allianz has taken this opportunity to improve our product offering for our customers. Kindly note of the following product updates: 

         

Road Warrior (RW)

o        The eligible age increased to 80 years old.

o        International Assistance for Singapore and Thailand – in the event the customer’s vehicle suffers a breakdown, Mondial will assist to tow the vehicle to the nearest workshop at that location.

o        Emergency Evacuation (Singapore and Thailand) – in the event of a medical emergency due to accident or breakdown, Mondial will assist to organize evacuation to nearest hospital. All costs however will be borne by the insured.

  

Enhanced Road Warrior (ERW)

  Changes are as per RW plus the following:

o        Car Replacement Program included for East Malaysia.

o        Flood cover – Up to RM1, 500 for repairs to vehicle due to damage as a result of flooding.

o        Towing – Up to 600km roundtrip. Toll charges, up to RM20, will be covered by Mondial.

o        Taxi service – reimbursement up to RM60, if required and organized by Mondial during a breakdown.

o        Car Rental and Hotel Accommodation – reimbursement up to RM400, for each, in the event insured is more than 100km away from Home and repairs exceed 48 hours. Such services must be organized via Mondial.

o        Optional additional 7 days Car Replacement for RM 90

  •  Please note: Commission is paid after deducting the assistance fees to Mondial and Mooshikar.

 

 

The benefit changes to RW, ERW and to Mondial road assistance services will apply to all cover notes issued on 1st January 2011 onward.

 

With this change, kindly be reminded to provide the new car windscreen stickers with the Mondial telephone numbers to our customers. The new stickers and marketing materials will be made available to all Allianz branches before 1 January. For ease of reference, Mondial’s Road Assistance telephone numbers are:

Date: 12th November 2010 – New Service Tax Rate – 6% (Applicable to both Motor and Non Motor)

 

Dear Valued Agents,

 

We wish to inform that the recent Budget 2011 Proposal has announced service tax rate of 6% will be applicable w.e.f. 01.01.2011. The amendment of the rate will affect the insurance policies issued to business organisations.

 

The following general rule is to be used :

 

The Service Tax rate of 6% is applicable to all policies/renewals which commencing from 01.01.2011 onwards, issuing to business organisations

 

As for endorsement, the new rate of 6% will be applied from the   

endorsement effective date 01.01.2011 onwards

 

 

For Jan 2011 renewals which had been printed out at old rate of 5%,  agents are required to collect additional 1% service tax applicable on the GWP and advise branches to pass endorsement to capture the 1% service tax. The new rate of 6% will be reflected in Feb 2011 renewals and onwards.

 

Meanwhile systems are being enhanced to reflect the above rule.

Date: 14th June 2010 – Saved cover notes auto cancel

 

Dear all Valued Agents,

 

 

Please be advised that with immediate effect, all the e-ASC cover notes issued with Saved status will be auto cancelled by system after 7 days of grace period reaching the commencement date of cover note.

 

Example 1

Cover note issued date           : 01/06/2010

Commencement date             : 07/06/2010

Cover note will be auto cancelled on 14/06/2010

 

Example 2

NWNN (Brand New Vehicle)

Cover note issued date           : 01/06/2010

No Period of Insurance, such cover note will be auto cancelled on 08/06/2010

 

 

Based on the above example 1, if cover note status still under Saved (not send to JPJ) till 07/06/2010, system will automatically proceed to cancel the cover note on 14/06/2010. Remarks will pop up to alert agents upon saving the cover notes. These cancelled cover note will be auto submitted as Cancel and agent can view at My Profile under Cancelled option. This function applies to all type of cover notes that involves transactions with JPJ.

Date: 17th May 2010 – NCD Online Front-end Integration

 

 

 

Dear all Valued Agents,

 

Please be informed that the ISM NCD Front – End Online Integration of NCD Confirmation will be launched in Allianz, on 01st June 2010. All NCD will be referenced from central database, ISM. This implementation is a mandatory requirement by PIAM to integrate all Motor Insurance at Point of Sales (POS), which includes all distribution channels such as Agency, Pos Malaysia, Motor Franchise & dealers, Bancassurance.

 

 

After 1st June 2010, manual Confirmation of NCD is no longer valid. Agent can perform NCD enquiry upon customer request at the public enquiry website. Any confirmation of NCD can be only done at the Front – End that is upon e Cover note issuance in e-ASC only. To avoid any hiccups or delays due to this new online system, agents are advised to issue June renewals two weeks before the expiry, from now on. This is just in case the NCD is not accurate, the customer can check from the previous insurer to upload the correct NCD data to ISM, otherwise any dispute in the NCD percentage, the e-Schedule will carry 0% of NCD, and the customer need to solve this with the previous insurer.

 

For your information now the NCD enquiries are also available for free of charge in ISM website for the public, at https://ncd.ism.net.my/publicncdenq/index.htm or www.ism.net.my.

 

 

We strictly remind agents that no manual alteration is to be done on the e-Schedule for any dispute on the NCD.

 

Below is the process flow for agent’s reference.

 

1. The user issue new e-Cover Note as per the current practice.

 

2. During Step 4, there will be “Check NCD From” button to enable the user to 

    send the NCD Enquiry online signal to ISM to capture the latest and 

    update NCD %.

 

3. Once the user clicks on “Print & Send to JPJ” in Generate Document

    (Preview) screen, the system will automatically send the NCD

    Confirmation online signal to ISM to obtain the NCD approval code.

 

4. After ISM returns the approval code, the system will automatically send

    the signal to JPJ as per current practice.

 

5. Process flow on linkage to ISM for NCD Confirmation via front-end

   System only applicable for New Business transaction.

- New Business - New Vehicle New Registration

- New Business - Old Vehicle Old Registration

- New Business - Transfer of Ownership

  

Note: The system will block linkage to ISM for following e-Cover

Abbreviations for NCD Enquiry/Confirmation/Cancellation

ENQ – ISM NCD Enquiry      

CFO - ISM NCD Confirmation (New Business-Registered Vehicle)

CFN - ISM NCD Confirmation (New Business-Unregistered Vehicle)

CCN – ISM NCD Cancellation

 

 

Cancellation of NCD by agent. (Normal)

Once the users cancel the e-Cover note, the system will automatically link to both JPJ and ISM with cancellation code to cancel JPJ record and ISM NCD Approval Code upon e-cover note status changed to CANCELLED or CANCELLED/REPLACED as per current system control.

 

For cancellation with replacement, when user updates replacement e-Cover Note under Saved status, system will auto display NCD Enquiry info (auto retrieved from original cancelled e-cover note), so that user does not need to re-capture the NCD Source & resend to ISM for NCD Enquiry. System will link to ISM for NCD Confirmation when user click ‘Save & Send to JPJ’ button in Generate Document (Preview) screen.

 

Cancellation of NCD by branch (Approval)

This cancellation only can be done at branch Principal Administrator, once cancelled by the branch, system will automatically link to both JPJ and ISM, same as above procedures.

Date: 19th April 2010 – RW/ERW – Period Less Than A Year

 

Dear Valued Agents,

 

 

Please be informed that with immediate effect, e-ASC Road Warrior/Enhanced Road Warrior are not allowable to issue for less than a year period, applies for both Individual and Group. Message will appear as “POI cannot be less than one year period”. The current control will be as follows,

 

1)     Cannot back-date

2)     Effective date cannot early than the Issue Date

3)     Period of Cover cannot more than 18 months

 

If user needs to issue RW/ERW to coincide with Motor insurance, the user can only extend the RW/ERW up to a maximum of 18 months only.

Date: 13th April 2010 – Transfer of Interest

 

Dear Valued Agents,


Please be informed that with immediate effect Agents and Branches are not allowed to pass endorsement for Transfer of Interest (TF). This type of endorsement only allowed for cases involving transfers between family members only. Reason for blocking this type of endorsement is that:-

 

  1. Old owner requests for his/her refund after this TF has taken place, which we are not able to do so since policy already transferred to the new owner with premium payable of RM10.00 where else he enjoys the remaining insurance and road tax till expiry of the policy.

 

  1. Branch already proceed with the policy cancellation upon advise by the insured, meanwhile the TF cover note issued in e-ASC or branch level, with RM 10.00, Upon receiving the documents from agents branches notice that the policy has been cancelled, thus this cover note will be hanging in the system with reconciliation problems.

 

      3.   Transfer of owner may involve in the change of risk that may be deem  

            undesirable – example change to a young driver.

     

Solution

 

1.      If customer approaches to do transfer, a letter of consent from the old owner is a must.  Double verify by calling the old owner.

2.      Proceed with the cancellation and refund if any. (inform branch)

3.      Issue new cover note under the new owner as Transfer of Ownership (NWTR) for I year or extend to coincide with road tax, collect full premium is more appropriate!

 

Please only entertain the TF if the 1st owner provides us the “Letter of Consent” saying that the TF is within the family members only. We hope agents will adhere strictly to follow this procedure as we are facing a lot of issues on this matter.

Date: 01st  March 2010 – Motorcycle All Rider Premium 

 

Dear Valued Agents,

 

Pertaining to the New Renewal Notice for the month of April and May 2010,

please be advised that All Rider premium was not captured under Motorcycle class. Therefore, please amend the premium before advising the customer on the total premium payable. However our e-ASC system already captures correctly to tag along with the underwriting guideline.

 

Meanwhile the error will be rectified soonest possible and sorry for the inconvenience caused.
